Sarah Vine said Brexiters would have been ‘lynched’ at the People’s March – the only 11 replies you need
Here’s Daily Mail columnist Sarah Vine giving her take on why you might not have spotted many Brexiters among the million people who marched through London in support of a second referendum on Brexit on Saturday.
She was moved to respond after ITV’s Robert Peston said this.
Two things. 1) These are not petitioning-signing bots. They are very passionate people. 2) They want to revoke Article 50 and stay in the EU. Unsurprisingly there are no Brexiters here, or at least none I can see. So, as of now, they show the nation’s wounds, not a healing pic.twitter.com/i4RcgP7Vsp

And here’s what Vine, whose husband Michael Gove is once again salivating at 10 Downing Street, had to say.
There are no leavers there because they would be lynched. These people are so convinced of their righteousness they cannot see anyone who disagrees with them as anything other than a monster. The rhetoric against people who voted to Leave characterises them as sub-human.

And these really are the only 9 replies you need to that.

You aren’t there. It was the most gentle group of humans I’ve ever encountered. It was really good humored and populated by people who basically worry that that if we leave, especially without a deal, the lives of the poorest will get even harder. That’s about it. https://t.co/nZOJlXmzRx

Michael Gove's wife suggesting that a million voters are potential murderers. That's a new low. https://t.co/pNhHZGRciF

Sarah Vine says Remainers are bigoted towards Leavers while also saying that the Remainers in a crowd of 1 millions people are all murderous puritans incapable of empathy.
I don't know about Leavers, but irony certainly just got strung up for dead. https://t.co/hGZet5iIsZ— Femi (@Femi_Sorry) March 23, 2019

Michael Gove is being lined up to replace Theresa May in a Tory coup.
The tweet below accuses Remainers of being willing to 'lynch' Brexiters.
It's by the wife of the UK's potential next Prime Minister.
Anyone else not ok with that, or is it just me? https://t.co/ZIzXzrUjN4

It is genuinely astonishing that somebody who works for the Daily Mail and is married to a cabinet minister has somehow missed everything directed at Remainers over the past three years by both the Daily Mail and the cabinet https://t.co/p3WUbNX0zm

Get a grip. There are no incidents of violence on Remain marches. Your absurd claim is what's divisive here. https://t.co/E68DhIL2jj

As someone who stood on the stage at yesterdays #PutItToThePeople rally & fiercely defended and praised leave voters in front of tens of thousands of people without a single boo or moment of dissent I can say with absolute certainty that this is rubbish. https://t.co/WMK3s7gVmR

Woman who set-up the revoke A50 petition bombarded with death threats
Soubry, Miller etc. need round-the-clock security
Multiple pro-Brexit protesters arrested for attacking police
Pro-remain MP literally murdered in the street

A million people in attendance and no trouble AT ALL reported. Last time Leavers had a demonstration in London there were about 50 of them and they kicked off, arrests were made. Deplorable statement. https://t.co/VlWHRZRBCI

And just in case she’s still not convinced …
So it seems there were Leave marchers dotted among yesterday's crowd. At least 2 Leave means Leave activists, the pixy conspiracy guy who always turns up – this guy and probably others. None of them abused. All just exercising their right to protest as well. https://t.co/85TW0RXv87

I was in the public toilets at the top of Hyde Park before walking to the bandstand area around 11.30am. Steady crowd of Marchers. This old guy comes in who proceeds to scream ‘LOOK AT YOU ALL. I FOUGHT FOR MY COUNTRY. YOU SHOULD BE ASHHAAAAAAMED’
Not one person shouted back
