This outtake from Sesame Street proves that Elmo is as wholesome as you’d expect
One of the most enduring thing about the wonderful children’s TV show, Sesame Street, is that it’s never failed to attract amazing celebrities to come along and interact with the characters. In one episode, actor Julia Louis-Dreyfus accidentally lets out a not-very-child-friendly word, causing little Elmo to suggest a penance.
Someone called @moodvintage shared the clip on Twitter.

the ability of muppet performers to so consistently stay in character is one of the few things on this hellplanet that brings me unqualified joy https://t.co/YhhmdChtlC

The way the Muppet performers were able to seamlessly roll with the punches and constantly improvise, in character, while still keeping it clean, never ceases to astonish.

Twitter user Anthony Oliveira noticed that Julia must have been feeling particularly profane that day.
"you're gonna be a rich muppet at the end of this day" https://t.co/vF2t0udrkI
