Nigel Farage ran a Brexit poll and it didn’t go his way at all
As the ragged band of March to Leave Brexiters trudge their weary way from Sunderland to London – apart from when they’re in buses – the man who said he’d be walking with them, Nigel Farage, has mostly been giving interviews about his outrage at Brexit’s slow progress. Perhaps he should have hired a bus for that, too. During an ad break on Robert Peston’s show, Farage decided to run a poll of the Brexit options, and it went like this.
In our ad break @Nigel_Farage came up with a poll and he wants to know what would you vote for next week? #Peston

Let’s take a closer look at that, shall we?
Some people weren’t satisfied with the options.
Farage to be fired out of a cannon only to narrowly miss the target, hit a wasps nest, fly through a forest of thorny trees and land in a vinegar factory.

Where's the 'stop Nigel Farage appearing on TV' option? https://t.co/To6fGPU8zu

I'd vote for the Serious Fraud Office to forensically examine every Brexiteer's bank accounts – and their families accounts https://t.co/F6IOb4Dma4

I'd vote for anything that gets Farage off the TV, radio and any other public platform. He's a lying two faced ignorant self serving creep who is a menace to this country. I despise him and the media that continues to give him unwarranted prominence.

Some took the opportunity to revel in Farage’s loss.
Well that went about as well as the #MarchToLeave https://t.co/arNiExFFTk

Don't think this poll went entirely to plan for poor Nigel Farage. pic.twitter.com/DlmW6VMd0t

That probably didn't go the way you'd hoped Nige. Anyway, shouldn't have your walking boots on, or did you just take all the 50 quid subscriptions and run with the cash? You'll be on rogue traders if you're not careful..

Absolutely nailed it. True Brits love this country and want it back.

And one person wondered at the fairness of the poll.
Not a fair poll – all of Nigel’s supporters are currently on their march, and no doubt suffering very patchy internet access.

People’s Vote campaigner, Femi Oluwole, expressed surprise at the idea of Farage running another poll at all, using his own words to make an uncomfortable point – from the former UKIP leader’s point of view, at least.
Hey Nigel, I thought the people already voted? I thought the 2016 referendum already told us all we needed to know?
Surely you'd be in favour of Theresa May's deal given that you told people we could get a much better deal? You even told us we'd have Single Market access… pic.twitter.com/sG8c3Oc3mf— Femi (@Femi_Sorry) March 20, 2019
