James O’Brien took down Dominic Raab and it’s like watching a gruesome kill on a wildlife documentary
James O’Brien thought it might be an apt time to have a closer look at some of the arguments and interviews given by Dominic Raab, the man briefly in charge of Brexit, over the last little while.
Whatever the opposite of a ‘greatest hits’ is, this is it, and for some reason it reminded us of a particularly gruesome kill on something presented by David Attenborough.

Beautifully done.
Regardless of your opinion on #Brexit this is a terrific dismantling of a politician who doesn’t seem to know if it’s Shrove Tuesday or Sheffield Wednesday. As a country we have never needed journalists more. Hats off, @mrjamesob https://t.co/Ho2HaRMOJz

A masterclass in roasting someone with their VERY OWN words.

Brutal and thoroughly deserved.
Thank you @mrjamesob https://t.co/mdXCADnquO

Well done, proper journalism.

O’Brien’s takedown might have something to do with this exchange Raab had with a fellow LBC presenter about something he said on Twitter.

And O’Brien wasn’t the only one unimpressed.
Have tried to remain patient with @IainDale but last night's unprofessional behaviour about one of his colleagues @mrjamesob was foul. His interview with @Femi_Sorry showed how stubborn he is in the face of some contradictory facts. Final straw. What a vile man https://t.co/b7zPC9x6Ca

Excuse me! I read out a tweet from James and asked my panel to comment on it? How on Earth is that unprofessional?
— Iain Dale (@IainDale) March 21, 2019
Iain you have lost my admiration. I commented before that this kind of thing was beneath and you repeat it with bells on.
— Bigyellowbird66 (@bigblackbird66) March 21, 2019
Whatever. James tweeted something which he clearly believes and did it on a public forum. In what way was it inappropriate to ask my panel what they thought of it? I'm bemused.
— Iain Dale (@IainDale) March 21, 2019
Raab didn't comment on the content of my tweet, mate. He launched into a ludicrous character assassination & went entirely unchallenged by the presenter.

This person saw it coming …
I knew this was coming. Watched his sniggering interview with ian Dale this week and thought “ you’re gonna get it both barrels mate” . Brilliant work @mrjamesob
