These images of one man with his giant vegetables are the most joyous thing on the internet

In the world of giant vegetables – and yes, that is a thing – one name stands out, that of Peter Glazebrook. Green-fingered Peter holds records for: the longest beetroot, the longest parsnip, the heaviest onion, the heaviest potato and the heaviest cauliflower. Thanks, Wikipedia. Journalist, Lizzie O’Leary, pointed out how wonderful the images of Peter proudly posing with his products can be, and she’s not wrong.

Just look at his face! Those things are like his babies, if babies could win prizes, break records and be cooked up as part of a delicious meal after the show.

Lizzie’s post proved very popular.

However, the Best in Show rosette must surely go to historian Dr Beau Beaumont for this beauty.
