A Tory MP got owned for her pro-Brexit tweet – the 12 hottest burns
There seems to be a growing number of Tory MPs coming out in favour of a no-deal Brexit, describing it as “the will of the people”, which gives them a very convenient scapegoat when it all goes wrong. A notable supporter of this pathway is the MP for Fareham, Suella Braverman, who tried to convince everyone of a consensus for crashing out, with this post on Twitter.
No sign of Project Fear in Fareham tonight. On a show of hands at my open meeting about Brexit for 100 local residents, large majority in favour of leaving the EU without a deal. Thanks to Holy Trinity Church for hosting us. #Nodealisbetterthanabaddeal pic.twitter.com/b7Otdy4JOC

Now, we don’t expect a market town in Hampshire to be the most diverse place in the world, but surely it has a few people under the age of 70. Her tweet very quickly attracted the derision it deserved, and these are the funniest reactions.
