A consortium of food retailers has warned that a no-deal Brexit could have very serious effects on the UK food supply, affecting availability of fresh produce, pushing up prices and lowering standards. The warning has been decried as Project Fear by many Brexiters who have more experience of the food industry than the consortium – oh now, wait …they don’t.
