The way this guy eats toast is p*ssing people off
As part of the onboard representation of Earth’s cultural heritage, the Voyager spacecrafts, 1 and 2, carried recorded sounds and images, reflecting scientific knowledge and scenes of normal life.
Some were simply charming.
Some were very technical.
However, writer and graphic illustrator, Richard Littler, spotted one of Voyager’s images that was quite disturbing.
This is one of the photos depicting human life that NASA included on Voyager's Golden Record in 1977. FOR GOD'S SAKE why send a photo of a man eating toast incorrectly? What sort of person takes one bite of toast and then turns it around to start on the other side? pic.twitter.com/vXGkRsGAZv

He had more to add.
Want to know why we haven't contacted alien life? It's all because of this creepy toast guy. It's all his fault. If I were a member of an advanced civilisation I'd pretend I wasn't at home if this species came knocking. "Howdy, can I come in? I'm from Earth. I fuck up toast."

Life on earth looks (literally) like the world's shittest office party.

The more I look at it the more it looks like a shot from a music video by the Pixies.

I've done a little research. Creepy Toast Guy is not the only troubling food-related photo intended for alien eyes. For example, there's also this complex image, which appears to show a man warning a woman about something she has accidentally eaten while other diners are amused. pic.twitter.com/1MBpbJAGkn

More unsettling food images. Despite the variety of food on Earth, there are 2 grape photos on the Golden Record: In one, a woman appears to have been caught stealing/eating grapes in a supermarket. In the other, a dirty man wearing a knotted handkerchief is making love to grapes pic.twitter.com/ATEI0HHB9f

Richard wasn’t the only one unhappy with this unacceptable behaviour.

Well you can see where and why alien abduction turned nasty.

Comedy legend Eric Idle had this comment to add.
L. Ron Hubbard.

If you fancy finding out what else the aliens will think we like doing, check out this video – and despair.
