These UK yellow vest protestors got ‘for’ and ‘against’ mixed up and it’s a glorious self-own
Inspired by the ‘yellow vest’ protests in France, hundreds of people have been marching wearing high visibility jackets in central London to protest against government cuts.
Just in case anyone was confused about what they stand for, they apparently had a helpful flier clarifying exactly what it is they support.
But whoever wrote it is having a hard time telling the difference between ‘for’ and ‘against’, according to this flier shared by the great James Felton on Twitter.
It kind of makes sense at the start but quickly goes wrong. Very wrong.
“What do we want?”
“Justice for our boys”
“Nice”
“Brexit”
“Yeah put that down”
“Child abuse”
“Sorry?”
“ABUSE OF CHILDREN IN THE SYSTEM”
“Uh”
“VETERAN SUICIDES”
“Let me take a look at that list, Ian” pic.twitter.com/lWKg4GdifD— James Felton (@JimMFelton) January 12, 2019
Here are some of our favourite responses on Twitter.
I…I think someone needs to teach them the difference between “for” and “against”…

I vote that nobody does teach them that, this way is much funnier

The yellow vests. Standing for… er, the rape and murder of our children and greedy bankers! Oh, and obviously Brexit. pic.twitter.com/n6J2rxx3gO

Nobody taught them about the word “against” yet
— James Felton (@JimMFelton) 12 January 2019
I mean, it reads like the Tory manifesto so…

So the UK yellow vests stand for child abuse? pic.twitter.com/i75fg7a9Zl
