This cheap guy took a polite refusal very badly indeed

It’s pretty common for people to get work through a friend of a friend and you might even choose to do that work for “mates’ rates”, but when someone asks you to use your skills for free, they should at least meet you halfway, right? Not according to this anonymous guy, whose story has been told by mizeat_wizad on Reddit. Prepare to bristle on the boilermaker’s behalf.

It started off with a simple request.

There was a bit of a misunderstanding.

The boilermaker was amenable and tried to be helpful.

This is where things really started to go wrong.

The boilermaker had to draw a – very reasonable – line.

Sam’s friend didn’t take it well at all.
