This hilarious Love Actually parody is a lot less endearing than the original

The Richard Curtis film, Love Actually, has become a Christmas classic; of all the scenes, one stands out as being particularly iconic – in which lovesick Mark tells Juliet how he feels. For some reason, the fact that he’s declaring undying love to his best friend’s wife seems to be acceptable, but let’s not dwell on that.

Now, however, comedy team Mothers Ruined, which consists of Jayne Sharp and Amanda Wilkie, has produced a new and more realistic version.

“Love Factually”

Shared with the tagline “*Some* men will go to any lengths to show a woman his ‘true feelings’…”, the comedy short has clocked up thousands of views across social media, and a lot of appreciative comments, such as:

This reaction from broadcaster and script editor, Emma Freud, wife of Richard Curtis, shows just how thoroughly Mothers Ruined nailed the parody.

Good luck avoiding those duck pics.
