It’s not easy giving stuff away for free.
Very often the person who agrees to take it doesn’t turn up on time, or attaches all sorts of conditions and you end up just wanting to re-advertise it but you don’t because you don’t want to cause offence.
What happened to this person after they attempted to give away their sofa – as shared on Reddit – is an extreme (and very entertaining) example of this.
