This Guardian clarification really had its work cut out
For reasons that must be obvious, the Guardian newspaper has long been dubbed “the Grauniad”, but some errors are a bit more obvious than a spelling mistake. Last week, a correction appeared that must be amongst the best we’ve ever seen. It said:
“A reader noted that our recipe called “Spaghetti with radicchio, fennel and rosemary” didn’t include spaghetti, fennel or rosemary.”
Was it just radicchio on a plate?
Journalist Phil Baty spotted the little gem and posted a picture, which has proved to be very popular on Twitter.
Another absolute corker of a correction in today’s Guardian. pic.twitter.com/uftePgoCU7

Radicchio ad absurdum

In fairness to the Guardian, we should clarify that there was a second part to the correction, which kind of made it seem less ridiculous.
“The ingredients and method were right, but it should have been titled: Strozzapreti with radicchio and balsamic.”
