A video of a crowd going wild over a screensaver has gone viral for a very niche reason
When Twitter user, Aggressively Adan, posted a clip of a crowd of people watching a screensaver, he probably expected a fairly small amount of interest – after all, it’s no sneezing panda. This is the clip, courtesy of SpartaYoshi.

It raises two questions:
1. Why does the crowd go wild?
2. Why has it gone viral?
There are two kinds of people – those who know and those who don’t know.
If you don’t get why this is so meaningful, you’re probably too young to use an elevator without parental supervision https://t.co/kE1ZxqXPGC

Adan explained it to those not quite clear.
DVD players would commonly use that bouncing logo as a screensaver when idle. You could watch it for hours on end and it would never hit a corner.
Seeing the logo actually hit the corner is as miraculous and awesome as a soccer goal.

It’s a good job he did.
I thought they were getting excited, because it turned orange….

You may be familiar with the phenomenon because of this scene from The Office.

Sadly, all may not be as it seems.
People actually think this is real? pic.twitter.com/aipN8Lfi9C

This video edit is awesome. If a group that large were actually standing around watching a DVD screensaver, it would be equally awesome.

I suppose we’d better go back to watching The Office.
