Some yutz is calling @jk_rowling "pretentious" for having a writing room? One, lots of writers have writing rooms; all you need is a spare room in the house. Two, when you've sold 500 million books, it's not actually pretension to have a room to write in. She's kinda earned it.

Replying in Russian was a clear allusion to those reports which tied Banks’ Brexit campaign to Russia.
And just in case you’re wondering what it means, Rowling accused him of spending money ‘not on writing rooms, but on expensive lunches with suspiciously rich Russians.’ It was a reference that even Banks was able to spot.
