‘This is my favourite band break-up notice ever’
We have bad news for fans of the band Witchrot who will be taking an ‘extended hiatus’ due to unforeseen circumstances.
The good news was it prompted this brilliant band break-up notice shared by Conor Sullivan on Twitter.

SOME WITCHROT UPDATES:
-Their FB Page has gone from 330 likes to 4.2K (and growing!)
-No statement has been made, apart from the frontman logging in to promote his other band, CRAZY BONEShttps://t.co/kpKKIe9KIz
-As far as we know, the drummer is indeed still alive.— Conor Sullivan (@conortheconor) November 27, 2018
Finally, here is a rave review they received from that veritable music source, Super Dank Metal Jams… pic.twitter.com/hvEtlgcLKp

Not everyone got the Spinal Tap payoff (but everything else about the message appears to be true).

i hope the drummer is okay

I mean, the drummer didn't actually die. It's just playing off the decades old "meme" from Spinal Tap about drummers dying.

And just in case you hadn’t heard any of Witchrot’s music, it’s mostly Doom, Metal, Psych, Sludge, Stoner [and] Satan, according to their Facebook page.
"I will be forming a new band called Crotchrot."
