These 129 tips from the 1950s on how to ‘get a husband’ are completely mind blowing

If it sometimes feels like women’s rights haven’t moved on since the Stone Age, never mind the 20th century, these images of an article from a 1958 magazine will be an eye opener, because there’s no way it would be written unironically now.

It was published in McCall’s magazine and unearthed by Kim Marx-Kuczynski, who shared it on Facebook.

Even the cover of the magazine is very different to current trends, looking as though it’s aimed at 9-year-olds.

But it’s the tips themselves that are mind blowing.
