It’s Bonfire Night – you may have noticed – so here’s Guy Fawkes signature before and after he was tortured.

Between the first time he wrote his name and the second, Fawkes was captured in the cellars beneath Parliament, taken into custody in the Tower of London and interrogated until he gave up his co-conspirators.
We’ll never know for sure what happened in the tower, although there is no shortage of speculation that the rack was involved.
This person had a different idea though.
