Comedian James Acaster was trolled on Twitter and it turned into an epic slanging match

Stand-up comedians have to be able to handle a bit of heckling or they simply won’t survive the gigs in a room over a pub, performing to stag parties, someone who wandered in out of the rain and the bar staff.

In these days of also having to have a social media presence, it pays to be able to handle trolling, too. When comedian James Acaster appeared on the Great British Bake Off spin-off show, Extra Slice, he received some quite personal criticism on Twitter. So he entered into a battle of wits with his attacker, who calls herself ‘Bint‘ – and it’s simply hilarious.

This is how it unfolded.

Someone chipped in with a critique of Bint’s linguistic choices.
