People can’t believe this passenger’s racist behaviour – and what the airline did next
It’s a safe bet this is the most talked about video of the day, footage of a passenger on a Ryanair plane being racially abusive to a woman and threatening to ‘push’ her to another seat.
The film was taken by another passenger on the flight from Barcelona to Stansted on Friday and has been viewed around 2 million times on Facebook.
Have a watch and you’ll see why (warning: offensive language).
This racist white man refused to sit next to an elderly black woman on a Ryanair flight.
He called her an "ugly black bastard" & threatened to push her to another seat if she didn't move to another seat.
Ryanair – DOES NOTHING!!!

But it wasn’t just the man’s behaviour but the airline’s response that got people talking.
If this is @Ryanair, they need to explain how this man's disgusting racial abuse of the black lady in the seat next to him ends up with HER being asked to move. It is beyond beliefhttps://t.co/OhBfpXHaNG

This elderly black woman should have never been MOVED.
This racist white man should have never been ACCOMMODATED!
He should have been kicked off the flight.Salute the brother that stood up. HERO

This is appalling – scandalous racism and Ryanair seems to reward it https://t.co/JRt83TLBaN

Ok boycott @Ryanair if they think it’s ok for a racist man to abuse an elderly black woman and remain on the plane. It’s 63 years since Rosa Parks said “No “ to sitting on the back of the Bus and we ain’t going back. https://t.co/IYczabgjMJ

Ryanair said this to the BBC about the incident, which has also been referred to the police.
“We operate strict guidelines for disruptive passengers and we will not tolerate unruly behaviour like this.
“We will be taking this matter further and disruptive or abusive behaviour like this will result in passengers being banned from travel.”
