A Tory MP said we should ‘go down fighting’ for Brexit and these are the only replies you need
Here’s Conservative MP Andrea Jenkyns offering her considered thoughts on what should happen next in the the UK’s not entirely smooth Brexit negotiations with the EU.
It is better to go down fighting and honouring the democratic decision of our British people. Then to be long remembered for waving a white flag and surrendering to EU demands. All Brexiteers in Gov and on the backbenches its time to #StandUp4Brexit and finally #ChuckChequers.

Jenkyns, who defeated Ed Balls at the 2015 election, will be glad to know her sentiments went viral, although possibly not for the reasons she would have hoped.

It is better to chop off both your legs than to admit you were wrong to believe that chopping off one would make you run faster. https://t.co/MQyeLrh8KR

“I would rather cause economic misery to my constituents and the rest of the country I profess to care for for at least a generation than admit a horrific error and salvage the situation. And I will talk about it in military terms to try to make it sound less like it’s my fault.” https://t.co/DAAXRUIp7I

People like this shouldn’t be anywhere near public office.
Leave voters – many of whom live in communities whose voices have been ignored, whose economies rely on the EU – were not told to “go down fighting.”
They voted for a better future – which Brexit is failing to deliver. https://t.co/7LXDQ5hpoL

Jesus wept. I'm so amused by how people punch their chests and think somehow leaving a trading block and social charter is somehow equivalent to fighting wars against Nazis and invaders. You ain't no Biggles Bab love from one of "our British People". https://t.co/7MaEIbOwy0

Shouldn't we check with the British people if they really want to "go down fighting", disproportionately impoverishing the vulnerable, all for a worse set of international trade agreements?
All recent polls show a clear majority support a #PeoplesVote and remaining in the EU. https://t.co/Vzcv7g1NQ2

Always remember that when a Tory MP says "it's better to go down fighting"-they mean you the public b/c they will have an escape route and a sack full of cash to rest comfortably upon. #Brexit https://t.co/2uXI9B2ext

Witness a Tory MP, with a Churchill complex who thinks leaving a trading block which has given us free unfettered access to 27 national markets, and so much more besides is akin to fighting them on the beaches. And literally doesn't care about the damage a no deal brexit will do. https://t.co/JkvMyGthl4
