The Christian owners of a Northern Ireland bakery today won their appeal in the “gay cake” discrimination case.
The Supreme Court said Ashers bakery’s refusal to make a cake with the slogan “Support Gay Marriage” was not discriminatory in the case that dates back to 2014.
Which reminded us of the time when an American newspaper asked this.
Should a religious baker have to create a cake for a same-sex wedding? Imagine a Jewish baker being required to put a swastika on a cake. https://t.co/v9nnD7Vyye pic.twitter.com/fXuJbcmFXW

Did I miss something? Did gay people kill millions of straight bakers whilst I wasn’t paying attention? https://t.co/XjvXqKKSjz

Let me be clear: if the cake baker lost members of their family – along with millions of other fellow Christians – to a monstrous regime bent on exterminating their bloodline, and that regime uses gay couples getting married as a symbol, then you may have a point.

Could you please confirm if in fact any fascist regime that has attempted to round up and kill millions of Christians has ever used two men or women in wedding attire as their symbol?

If, in fact, this has not happened, can I remind you that thousands of gay people were exterminated by the Nazis in concentration camps by people holding prejudicial views just like you.

That’s what you’re actually asking people to identify with – people whose personal beliefs mean they don’t feel they need to treat people they disagree with as human beings.

actually I can’t and won’t imagine that you could possibly be saying that the most prominent symbol of genocide is equivalent to the image of two women in love
