Lost in translation, obviously.
Suspenders you say https://t.co/4ZQnULNkES

Doctor Who originated in England. In England, "suspenders" means something completely different to what it means in the US. The word you're looking for is "braces".

Lol. Have to admit to being somewhat disappointed when I saw the image…

It took me a minute to realise the show hadn’t gone in a COMPLETELY different direction

Suspenders don't mean that in Britain. Put the doctor in 'suspenders' and the market for this doll is decidedly different, I assure you. https://t.co/izd3X5Sjh2

So, is the doll’s body in proportion to the actress playing the part, or to the insane and nearly impossible standards that have been used throughout the #Barbie doll line?

When do we get David Ken-nant? https://t.co/EluK2F4cJn

You might want to use the word 'braces ' instead of 'suspenders' on the UK version
— Alison Rodger (@alirodger) October 7, 2018
It's "braces", not "suspenders". That means something different here in the UK

No sniggering at the word 'suspenders', you at the back. No, stoppit. Shhhh.
