A chap called Adam Baron shared this Egypt Air in-flight magazine’s interview with Drew Barrymore because it’s so bizarre.
This interview with Drew Barrymore in the Egypt Air in flight magazine is, umm, surreal. pic.twitter.com/fN3lNHXbL0

And it went viral because of the bad grammar, weird quotes, basically the whole thing.
The intro takes some beating.
Despite being unstable in her relationships most of her life, despite the several unsuccessful marriages and despite the busy life of stardom that dominated her life for several years; the beautiful American Hollywood actress Drew Barrymore has recently decided to temporary take an unlimited vacation to play her most crucial role as a mother…
It is known that Barrymore has had almost 17 relationships, engagements and marriages; psychologist believe that her behavior is only natural since she lacked the male role model in her life after her parents’ divorce when she was only 9 years. Ever since that time, she has been subconsciously seeking attention and care from a male figure; but unfortunately things do not always go as planned and she has not yet succeeded in any relationship for various reasons.
And these three quotes attributed to the actress were pretty odd-sounding too.
On being a mother …
“I do not intentionally follow certain parenting methods with my daughters and I do not consult with psychologists… I focus on nurturing their minds as well as their small bodies”
On becoming a parent …
“I could not resist performing the most important role in my life – being a mother – in which I hope to be conscientious”
On her post-pregnancy weight loss …
“I feel overwhelmed when someone tells me that I have regained my image and managed to lose that extra weight. However, I find this a great opportunity to encourage every woman who is overweight to work on regaining her beauty and body, especially that it is not as hard as one may think; it is all about determination and following the appropriate diet under the supervision of a physician.”
Here’s what people made of it online.
this is unreal. Surely she didn’t approve it?!

I have no idea. I started reading and almost died, then composed myself and screenshot the entire thing.

“Unstable, lonely, beautiful actress who is incapable of being loved,” basically. Wild!

Not often you read an interview where the questioner and the subject speak with exactly the same voice.

Almost 17 relationships! Almost.

Interviewer: “so how old are your kids?”
Barrymore: “their young ages do not exceed 5 years”
Seems like a nice spontaneous conversation

What. Did. I Just Read.
— Kelsey (@KelseyLK) October 2, 2018
Huh. I did not realize until this helpful article that Drew is not a native English speaker.

Egypt Air defended the interview
Dear sir, this a professional magazine interview conducted by Dr. Aida Tekla Former president of the HFPA (Hollywood Foreign Press Association) and one of the voting members of the Golden Globes.

Except it turned out to be based on a press conference Q&A, rather than a sit-down interview, after Barrymore’s representatives said she hadn’t done anything with the magazine.
To conclude …
Holy lord this is unbelievable https://t.co/C5tHAWKnZJ
