Women were asked to imagine life if men had a 9pm curfew and the replies were an eye opener (especially if you’re a man)
Someone called Danielle Muscato asked women to share their thoughts on what their life would be like if men had a 9pm curfew.
Ladies, a question for you:
"What would you do if all men had a 9pm curfew?"
Dudes: Read the replies and pay attention.#metoo #Kavanaugh #Cosby #feminism #maleprivilege #privilege

And if the wording of the tweet suggests the civil rights campaigner knew exactly the sort of replies she was going to get, she was absolutely right and it was quite an eye opener for people (okay then, men) who had never thought about it before.

Long, calm, solo nighttime walks. That would be amazing.

I’d go for a walk in the dark without leaping out of my skin at little noises. Just thinking about going somewhere alone without anxiety seems like a dream. Is this how guys feel all the time?

I’d do all my grocery shopping at 9:01pm so I wouldn’t be followed to my car, not told to smile in the store, not told (this one is so real it hurts), “You don’t need to be eating all that, it’s not good for you!” because I bought my kids some popsicles.

I want to spend some time really looking at the stars. I haven’t done that since I was a kid. Just really looking, outside, lying in the grass or on the hood of a car or something. But outside. Yeah. That sounds nice.

Also I would go out dancing, drink and dance and not constantly monitor myself? And not wait up for everyone to text back that they got home okay? Just to see what it’s like, just once.

Public transit. I’d take all the public transit.

I’m surprised at how emotional this just made me.

As long as everything else stays open past 9…go live my best life!
Go to the grocery store
Go for a walk in the park
Drive out to where the light pollution ends & look at the stars
Go to bars & take a ride share home while drunk
Go outside & forget my phone at home & not worry— OR4Now (@Or4Now) September 25, 2018

I’d feel safe grocery shopping at night, walking to my car at night, hell, I’d even start walking at night. I’ve often thought of stretching my legs at night, but ya know … I don’t want to get attacked. Not worth the risk.
