This wrong number prank has a very satisfying payoff

On receiving a text obviously sent to us by mistake, most people would reply with “wrong number”, but some people see it as an opportunity for a bit of fun. When Reddit user Penguillion was contacted by someone clearly believing he was a woman called Lynn, he decided to run with it. The resulting conversation took a creepy turn, which very much suited Penguillion’s agenda and he shared the hilarious result in a series of screenshots.

It starts with a bit of obvious fishing from a guy named Jon, wanting to know if “Lynn” still has a boyfriend.

Penguillion plays along as Jon tries to set up a liaison.

A venue is chosen.

When Penguillion mentions needing to shower, Jon asks “Lynn” for a picture. A bit creepy, right?

Jon obliges with a teaser shot in the bath, showing a beautifully smooth leg – and a grotty bath, if we’re being honest.

Jon becomes impatient as “date” time approaches.

Penguillion gives Jon a nasty surprise.

He shows off his lovely smooth leg again.

The truth is out – and Jon’s not happy.

Pengillion points out how much worse things could have been …

…as well as the problem he’s made for himself.

Jon starts to wonder how this all happened.

He’s really persistent.

Penguillion offers him a deal.

Jon doesn’t play along – sadly.
