Derbyshire police shared a high speed bicycle chase and it’s gripping stuff
There are the high speed car chases in Bullitt, Smokey and the Bandit, Baby Driver and the French Connection, and then there’s this.
A high speed bicycle chase shared by Derbyshire police and it’s gripping stuff (takes a while to get going and then you’ll with it ’til the finish).
This was the moment Scott Liddle was disturbed by an @AlvastonSNT PCSO, acting suspiciously near to the bike shelter at the rear of #Derby train station. After a chase, the 37-year-old was arrested for going equipped to steal bikes from Pride Park. https://t.co/bRQDjGxZRf pic.twitter.com/CttRCZyAMQ

Bodyguard’s got nothing on this.
Great work by @DerbysPolice, showing us this high-speed chase with not a car in sight. The chap with the backpack is trying to make the getaway pic.twitter.com/kgXV9yF7j8

Kind of disappointed the police cyclist isn't going "nee naw, nee naw!" 😉

This is fantastic! PCSO on s bike chases and catches a bike thief on a cycle path I helped to build and now do maintenance work on. This is better than the Steve McQueen car chase in Bullit! https://t.co/NrEXDyiRC7

They must have been doing 15mph at points. Perhaps one for the people trying to stop #CS9 to see. The worlds slowest high speed chase in history.

most British chase of the century

Hi Trevor, Mr Liddle was arrested again this week for further thefts of bikes in the city and yesterday, magistrates jailed him for 36 weeks.
