Boris Johnson was spotted at the cricket and the crowd’s reaction was perfect
For large parts of England’s Test match against India today this was the best thing to happen – the crowd’s reaction when Boris Johnson was spotted by the TV cameras and put on the big screen.
David Gower’s line wasn’t bad either.

Perfect.
People reckoned it had something to do with reports that Johnson was getting divorced following claims that he had cheated on his wife.
No doubt, but feelings probably run even deeper than that, we imagine.

Haven't heard such loud boos from both sets of fans at the cricket for a very long time. Who knew Boris Johnson could bring people together like that? #ENGvIND

Boris Johnson booed by the crowd at the Oval. Looks like he’s failed his cricket test.

Apparently he decided on a quick exit but finding his way out of the Oval proved more complicated than he thought.
