Boris Johnson, former Foreign Secretary, former London Mayor and former journalist at the Times – until they sacked him for making up quotes – has criticised the government’s proposal for a Brexit deal, claiming it is the equivalent of a fixed wrestling match, which the EU will win. If the EU negotiators don’t accept this deal, known as the Chequers Plan, it’s likely that the UK will leave with no deal at all.
