A Trump fan said this about sexual harassment and this woman’s comeback will have you cheering
Well, maybe not cheering out loud, but definitely in your head, after a 29-year-old conservative and #MAGA fan called Craig – or @lordofsnowflake if you prefer – said this in an exchange on Twitter.
Well, it’s one way of trying to make American great again. And this woman’s reply was just A+++.
Mary Shelly lost her virginity on her mom's grave, facilitated a lesbian wedding, and carried her dead husband’s heart around in a bag, so, yeah, I agree, let’s return to traditional values. pic.twitter.com/GvB8Rm8YWq

And it didn’t end there.
1.
Is that his literal or metaphorical heart I wonder?

2.
It’s his literal heart. When he was cremated, his heart wouldn’t burn because it had calcified. It was given to Mary and she carried it around with her for years. After she died it was found wrapped in a page from his poem Adonais. It was interred in the family vault in 1889.

Also, in the early 1900s, women stabbed catcallers with hatpins.
I agree, let’s return to traditional values.

Hatpins ranging in size from icepicks to short swords, no less. Because fashion.

Imagine Craig’s surprise when he finds out in the 1900’s he can only talk to a woman if she has a chaperone around, can’t kiss until they’re married, and will have to find a way around using words like leg and breast.

He’ll also have to give up every modern convenience that allows him to spread his unwanted message,…and safety razors.

She also did that one weird thing where she casually invented Science Fiction when she was still a teenager.
— Shaine Edwards (@DeputyDracula) August 5, 2018
12.
That was Margaret Cavendish. Shelly wrote the first science fiction novel to mention the scientific method but not the first science fiction novel.

Very interesting thread. Mary’s remains, and those of members of her family lie in St Peter’s churchyard, in Bournemouth, UK. The Shelley family had a close connection with the area. pic.twitter.com/rb77ilb6yU

And just in case …
If you want to read more about her, there’s a new biography out. https://t.co/UoVgJt9jmm
