Favourite 11 responses to Elon Musk not being able to help the Thai cave rescue
Space littering tech billionaire Elon Musk turned up at the Thai cave rescue with his super mini submarine but it turned out to be no use whatsoever.
Here’s what the head of the rescue mission had to say.
“The equipment they brought to help us is not practical with our mission. Even though their equipment is technologically sophisticated, it doesn’t fit with our mission to go in the cave.”
But he left it behind anyway just in case, you know, it turned out they needed it after all. (They didn’t).
Just returned from Cave 3. Mini-sub is ready if needed. It is made of rocket parts & named Wild Boar after kids’ soccer team. Leaving here in case it may be useful in the future. Thailand is so beautiful. pic.twitter.com/EHNh8ydaTT

And there was something about the gesture that caught people’s imagination. Not in a good way, though.

Elon Musk shows up to your party at 1:30AM with a three day old rotisserie chicken then leaves after he’s had two glasses of the 50 year Macallan your rich grandfather left you in his will https://t.co/huT4E9A1zh

Congrats to Elon musk for showing up late with something no one asked for & leaving the trash for someone else to clean up. Truly an inspiration https://t.co/cdF5D3U3lG
