University’s response to people who complained about refugees is just perfect

The University of Reading has launched a scholarship scheme aimed at refugees living in their area. You’d think this would be a cause for celebration, but not for everyone, apparently.

Their Twitter account had a special message for anyone unhappy with the idea.

We've had feedback over the last week that some people are unhappy with our plan to offer up to 14 scholarships to refugees living in the local area. To these people, we would like to say: Tough. Jog on. https://t.co/ioDLPp5crw

People were delighted with the unexpected sassiness.

There were offers of donations.

There was even talk of a trophy.

And declarations of love.

The Reading alumni were overcome with pride.

Someone wanted more from them.

A new title was suggested.

People wondered who was running the account.

While others asked whether their sassitude could be turned into merch.

But the best reply of all came from someone else.

In other words, jog on!
