People can’t believe how Japan left their dressing room after their devastating World Cup defeat
It was a heartbreaking way to be knocked out of the World Cup, to lose 3-2 to Belgium after being two goals up in one of the all-time classic World Cup thrillers.
And yet the Japanese team, despite suffering such a cruel exit, still managed to leave their dressing room like this.
Not only that, they left a note.
This was Japan’s dressing room after heart breaking injury-time defeat by Belgium. They left it spotless… and even a note saying ‘thank you’ in Russian. #sweepthedecks https://t.co/91dF07qpXw pic.twitter.com/RTXB4ChHhO

And here’s what people made of it online.
No spitting. No diving. No claiming for decisions. No whinging and whining to the ref. Briliant example of respect for their oppononents and the rules of the game and why the game flowed. Other teams/countries/leagues could learn a lot from them. 😀🇯🇵

It’s a way of life. Japanese kids clean their classrooms and toilets right from junior school.
