Rod Liddle said this about the World Cup and it’s the best burn you’ll read this week
Rod Liddle told Sunday Times readers he didn’t get to watch England win the 1966 World Cup because his parents sent him to bed before extra time started.
Poor lad, we feel for him, what a thing to miss out on.
Except, er, a reader had this to point out in a letter to the paper on Sunday.
Ouch

Good on them for printing it, we guess, and we look forward to Liddle’s response next week. Well, only a bit.
Beautifully succinct and to the point.
