The responses to Kirstie Allsop flying club class while her kids go economy could make this the best thing she’s ever done

Kirstie Allsop has revealed she occasionally flies club class while sticking the kids in economy and the responses could make it the best thing she’s ever done.

First, a catch-up for anyone who has missed it, courtesy of Allsop herself.

Except, people weren’t quite so understanding about it as perhaps she anticipated. Here’s a selection of comments from, ooh where shall we go first, the Guardian.

1.

“Club class should be a huge treat you’ve worked hard for,” says the Honourable Kirstie Allsop, daughter of the 6th Baron Hindlip (The Court of Owls)

2.

Given posh people’s liking for sending their kids away to school for months at a time, I can’t see a few hours making much of a difference (davidabsolom)

3.

What comes around goes around. Just wait until the kids are of an age to leave mum parked on the damp pub bench with a packet of cheese and onion whilst inside they rake the coals of a roaring fire with her walking stick (thegreatfatsby)

I could get really angry about this, but then I realise this article is a bloody gaping trap-door, especially designed for disgruntled class-warriors. So I won’t get angry about a privileged, wealthy TV presenter deciding that the trappings of such privilege will turn her children into the same kind of insufferable Tory scum that their parents obviously are, instead simply turning them into resentful adults who, eventually, will gleefully pull the plug on the decrepit piss-soaked Allsopps as an act of sweet revenge for the unending suffering they endured as rosy-cheeked cherubs having to mix with the Great Unwashed in Economy. I won’t get upset about that at all (SimonLegend)

5.

If i were a child of Allsopp’s I would welcome the opportunity to get away from her on a long flight personally, that constant high pitched whining in a confined space would do your nut in (Kumano)

Steady on, no need to get personal. Anyway, the Location, Location, Location presenter pretty soon had enough of all the snide comments and decided to hit back. In some style, it turned out.
