Our favourite 17 responses to that Daily Express front page
The Daily Express was all over-excited today with it being exactly one year until Britain is due to leave the European Union.
They did a special Brexit front page and everything, complete with a quote from their hero, Boris Johnson.
Except, well, people weren’t quite sure it worked out the way they intended.

If you think the Express front page showing a cliff we’re all going to plunge off is a bit negative, you should see the covers they rejected. #1yrArticle50 pic.twitter.com/3Ef1JS8ZqI

Not that I would ever question the wisdom of the editors at the Daily Express, but has anyone told them that their glorious view is looking out towards, er, Europe? pic.twitter.com/Afn84OLWml

A white cliffs of Dover reference by the Daily express. Like the #Brexit funding, it originated in American. The 'bluebird of happiness' is an American motif, and it always intrigued me that non-indigenous British birds would appear in a song. pic.twitter.com/uKMEqU6ybM
