Only 5 replies you need to Jacob Rees-Mogg’s ‘apology’
Jacob Rees-Mogg has issued an apology of sorts after he wrongly suggested Jeremy Corbyn had voted against the Good Friday Agreement which brought an end to the Troubles in Northern Ireland.
We say ‘apology of sorts’ because, well, have a look for yourself.
Mea culpa, I was wrong to say that Mr Corbyn voted against the Good Friday Agreement. He did not.

Here he is making the false accusation on Channel 4 News.
Here’s @Jacob_Rees_Mogg telling a lie on Channel 4 News. Jeremy Corbyn voted for the Good Friday Agreement. One of the few MPs who did vote against it, however, was Rees-Mogg’s hard-Brexit colleague & fellow member of the European Research Group, Desmond Swayne. pic.twitter.com/lm0PKwSLni

• Tory minister Ben Wallace compares Corbyn to Kim Philby.

Except some people saw only the good.
A politician admitting he was wrong. No there’s a novelty. Nice one Jacob. Now get May out and save this country. 👍👍🇬🇧

Why did he lie in the first place? It’s widely known how corbyn voted and he knew he was lying when he said it

"Mea Culpa" is of course Latin for "fuck, I never thought anyone would check".
