It prompted a bit of a grammar debate as well.
Sorry, I saw you're a journalist, so I gotta say: "whoever chose this photo," not "whomever chose this photo." The entire clause "whoever chose this photo" is the object of the preposition "to," while w/in the clause "whoever" is the subject of the verb "chose."
