Two minutes with the far-right ‘White Pendragons’ is time very well spent
A group of protestors calling themselves the ‘White Pendragons’ disrupted a speech by London mayor Sadiq Khan earlier this week.
People didn’t know a huge amount about them so ITV’s Paul Brand spent some time trying to get to know them and it could be the most worthwhile two minutes you spend this week.
After they disrupted @sadiqkhan‘s speech today, I spent a good ten minutes genuinely trying to get to the bottom of what the White Pendragons stand for. Anyone able to help? #fab18 pic.twitter.com/h8DztI8z3I

Words. It’s just a lot of words.
“I still don’t understand what you’re talking about and I’m a political expert.”
Here’s what people made of them online.

Once again, life imitates sitcom. Every one of these clowns is a character you wish you'd written. The Nazi Detectorists. https://t.co/VyG6lWdz1u

They’re like the US Freemen on the Land and the German Reichsburgers – fringe groups who claim law allows them special privileges/exemption from tax/to take over the country. Pure nutters.

They do seem to have a rather large chip on their shoulder but I’m not sure about what exactly. I could watch this 100 times and still not know what their beef is.

Glad it’s not just me. Didn’t have a clue what they were on about.

Remember a few years back when we would all marvel at documentaries by Louis Theroux showing strange Americans with extreme religious or nationalist views? It was odd wasn’t it? It all seemed very foreign. Now we’re all living a Theroux documentary.

As Monty Python tribute acts go, they’re actually rather good. https://t.co/7JFn90hZiX
