Epic trolling of the BBC … by the BBC after editor’s resignation over gender pay gap
You might have noticed the BBC has been doing quite a bit of reporting about itself after the very public resignation of its China editor Carrie Gracie in protest at the outrageous gender pay gap at the corporation.
Hats off to it – although it’s not as though it had any choice in the matter – for giving the topic so much airtime.
But it could probably have done without its official Twitter account, with more than a million followers, tweeting this today.
Epic trolling!
And no, it doesn’t help if you take it down.
Well done to the BBC for deleting the tweet advising people on how to ask for a pay rise, which will definitely not draw more attention to it. pic.twitter.com/rjxMVJNUmc

The BBC has now deleted this tweet, which is now even more awkward. pic.twitter.com/IiTt2i5hDf
