This takedown of Michael Gove after he weighed in to defend Toby Young is 10/10
First Boris Johnson stepped in to defend Toby Young, now Michael Gove.
With both those heavy hitters behind him, the former Spectator columnist really MUST be the right man to lead the government’s new university watchdog, right?
Here’s what former education secretary Gove had to say.
Who indeed?
Over to you, this bloke on Twitter
10/10! A*! First class degree!
And people didn’t stop there.
Can you please tell us how many times in the past 10 years you or wife have hosted him to dinner, been hosted by him at dinner, or been hosted by third parties for dinner? It’s important you are open and transparent about your journalistic clique in appointments like this.

Surely we’d know if Gove had been for dinner with Toby, because Toby would’ve tweeted about Michael’s wives breasts.

Yes – his educational track record qualifies him. But values matter too, in public servants. And unfortunately his long back-catalogue of obnoxious hateful and misogynistic public statements disqualify him (and taint the Tories who back him).

And how can anyone claiming to be remotely progressive defend a person that attacks inclusivity for pupils with disabilities. Simply bizarre and offensive

Can you honestly not find anyone better than this?
There must be THOUSANDS of suitable people who are better qualified and not so blatantly morally challenged.
How is he ever fit to work in such a role? pic.twitter.com/8HJohizwFA
