Daily Mail correction of the week
The Daily Mail has made a couple of not insubstantial corrections to this front page story, but would you believe it – they didn’t find the same amount of space to make them.
Here’s the correction summarised by @AdamWagner1 on Twitter.
Daily Mail has admitted two key aspects of their “Another Human Rights Fiasco” headline splash were false
1. £33,000 awarded was not just for being held too long, it was *almost all* for being beaten by soldiers
2. The claimant was *not* involved in bombmaking

And here it is in the paper just in case you missed it.
@StopFundingHate Hey – remember the other day when I posted about how this headline of a Human Rights Fiasco was a fundamental untruth? Guess what? The DM published this correction today deep in the back pages. Turns out our soldiers beat up a totally innocent guy. pic.twitter.com/Si9iBIhfdY
