This doctor’s takedown of Jeremy Hunt will make you cheer
Here’s Jeremy Hunt saying where he thinks the NHS should go next.
@commonwealthfnd says #NHS is the world’s safest healthcare system. Moment of choice now as to whether we sit on our laurels or move to the next stage. Here's what I think #improveIPC pic.twitter.com/NyYoUZPQlU

And here’s a doctor telling the health secretary precisely what she thinks of that, and it will make you give a little cheer.
1. How *dare* you describe us as ‘sitting on our laurels’?
2. Everything we achieve is in spite of your punitive NHS underfunding.
3. Staff are struggling so hard, every day, against such odds, for our patients.
4. Drop the royal ‘we’, please. You are not NHS staff. https://t.co/JtdfXUGBL7

Hunt’s tweet was shared 27 times. The response from @doctor_oxford, the thick end of 5,000.
Here’s how a handful of people responded.
“We” (I can say we as I’m with you Rachel I’m a Midwife and I’m a Clarke (😉) ) are 3,600 Midwives short in the NHS and so one Midwife started a @knittedmidwife campaign – I agree with your words ❤️ #NHS

Anyone at the forefront of services agree with you Rachael. I have just resigned after 20yrs as a nurse, it’s so unsafe. The man is deluded.

Rachel, do you not like @Jeremy_Hunt much?
— Andy Cowper (@HPIAndyCowper) November 16, 2017
Hmm. Honesty, openness, humility & sincerity are everything in medicine, the core & bedrock of building trust with patients. If you lead the NHS, you need at least a semblance of those values. Their absence makes me furious.

Seems like owning Jeremy Hunt is becoming something of a national pastime.
