Spare a thought for the guy with the same name as Donald Trump’s ex-campaign advisor
A guy called George Papadopoulos has been in the news after Donald Trump’s former foreign policy aide became the first person to be charged in the investigation into alleged Russian attempts to interfere in last year’s presidential election.
Except he’s not THIS George Papadopoulos, who found himself at the centre of more social media interest than usual in the last 24 hours. About a million times more, in fact.
For the nth time, I am NOT Trump's foreign policy adviser! I have NO association with the Trump camp! NONE!

I am back now from our village where there are MANY George Papadopoulos men! News hit here but the name is so common it is not a big deal 🙂

In a weird instance of Twitter imitating real life, Papadopoulos found himself fielding a whole bunch of interview requests from the media.
I will try to reply to some emails. Sorry, no video interview requests, it's not possible here in this small city in Greece in family home

My wife gets me my office phone messages. And I think I may have upset her because there are so many, oh oh!

For the avoidance of doubt, this is George Papadopoulos.
And THIS is George Papadopoulos (you know, the Trump one).
Here’s one George’s advice for the other one.
Buy low sell high = Never lie to FBI
