Is this the ‘most northern sandwich ever’?
It’s the ‘sandwich of the week’ at the New Cake and Sandwich Shop in Hyde and it’s a bit of a monster.
The cafe’s co-owner Samantha Mitchell told the Manchester Evening News:
“I do prefer the bizarre sandwiches and I’d heard of the Wigan kebab but decided to give it a twist a bit more so I decided with the chips and mushy peas.
“Customers reactions have been fantastic. Obviously it’s not everyone’s choice.”
At only £3 – including gravy – we can’t think of a better carbs for quids option.
