Jake Yapp’s brilliant summary of ‘Everything We’ve Ever Known About Air’ in 4 minutes

Comedian Jake Yapp has a knack for getting to the point, making him the ideal person to summarise …well, anything! In a series of videos recorded for BBC Radio 4, Jake considers things we once thought were facts on a number of topics, including the moon (inhabited by rabbits), the sea (salty because the Earth sweats) and the heart (a hot dry organ).

Here, he runs through the main things we’ve ever believed about air.

Some facts – and, indeed, ‘facts’ – that Jake has identified are that air is:

“a band who did very well about 15 years ago with the song Sexy Boy”
“roughly 78% nitrogen – only useful in liquid form for making Heston Blumenthal-style desserts”
“hot and wet”

And, furthermore, that “every breath of air you take contains an atom of Caesar‘s last.”
