This man has been arrested for not doing something 14 years ago

A man in Massachusetts has been arrested because he didn’t return a VHS copy of a film that he rented in 2002, reports WSOCTV.

Apparently James Meyers was driving his daughter to school when he was pulled over by a policeman for a faulty light. Some 25 minutes later he was being charged for not returning a VHS copy of Freddy Got Fingered, from a place which went out of business years ago.

Here’s the trailer for the film in case you’re not familiar with it – which regularly appears on numerous ‘worst films ever made’ lists and features a scene with a man excitedly eating a sandwich while two horses have sex.

“They’re not focusing on the crimes I think they should be focusing on,” said Meyers, who only vaguely remembers renting the film and probably didn’t rewind it. Comedian Tom Green, who starred in Freddy Got Fingered, also struggled to get his head around the story.
