‘Sorry – your parcel is on the roof’ – when a rooftop apology note went viral

It’s that time of year when you start coming home to notes through your letter box telling you that you’ve missed yet another delivery.

Could be worse though. This guy came home to find a parcel on the roof of his house with an apology note posted through the letter box.

According to the Birmingham Mail, the man arrived home to find a package resting in the gutter along with a card from the delivery driver that said, “Sorry top off (sic your roof.”

The man’s friend, Ajmal Aziz, tweeted the note and a photo to the delivery firm, Yodel.

The company said the employee was “overly-enthusiastic” and misjudged his throw as he aimed for an open window.

The photos have gone viral on social media.
