Tiger Woods isn’t allowed to call his restaurant “Tiger Woods”
Tiger Woods is not allowed to use his own name for his soon-to-be opened restaurant, as “Tiger Woods” is wholly owned by Nike, reports People.
The Florida restaurant will be known as ‘The Woods Jupiter: Sports and Dining Club’ and can’t include Woods’s first and last name because Nike “has the rights to the name Tiger Woods,” the developer for the restaurant told Golf magazine.
According to ABC News, Woods himself can’t use his full name without approval from Nike – he even had to get permission from the corporation to use his own name in a press release.
