Mad Men Now Set Dangerously Close To Era With Awful Clothes, Hair

Style News: The new series of Mad Men has sparked fears that the drama is now set perilously close to an era when everyone had universally awful clothes and hair.

The sixth series of the show is set in 1968 and fans have expressed a worry that it may only be a matter of episodes before Don Draper is seen wearing a gigantic pair of bell bottomed jeans and is seriously considering a perm.

“What everyone loved about the show initially was its tremendous style,” said TV academic Dr. Warren Rad.

“When we first met Don, Peggy, Pete and Joan it was 1960, when the clothes were cool and the cocktails were even cooler.”

“Now we’re dangerously close to hippy territory and people are concerned we’ll see Joan wearing a bandana and singing protest songs, or Don having a panic attack at a Bee Gees gig. That’s just not very cool.”

Producers say future episodes will avoid bad styling, mainly through a storyline which involves all the characters getting sealed in an abandoned mine for the rest of the series.
